Historian: A few days ago we watched a fascinating talk [link] by Dr. Daniel K. Stern, NuSTAR Project Scientist at JPL. NuSTAR is the first high energy focusing x-ray space telescope and is seeing many new things and seeing with much higher resolution things already seen.
Physicist: Here is a link to the NuSTAR NASA mission home [link] Fiona Harrison at Caltech is the principal investigator [link] of this NASA Small Explorers mission. It is great science and the very well delivered talk gives super insights into the science — a winner in every way. The story which goes with the image above is a good one and teaches much about how astrophysics is actually done.
