Don, So sad to hear about Jenny. I know your heart is broken. She was such an important spirit in all our lives. Please let us know if there will be a Chicago memorial. With affection, Helen Doria [student of Jenny's at Mundelein]

Dear Don, I am sadder than I can say at the new of Jenny’s death. I remember her vividly and how she threw herself into Oxford life and all the opportunities it offered a young person of her abilities. I shall think of you especially now, but of course I have thought of you throughout her long illness. With my love and deepest sympathy, Barbara Harvey [A favorite tutor of Jenny's at Oxford]

Dear Don, Al and I send our condolences to you, Orlando and Olivia and their families, and to everyone who knew, loved, were stimulated and confounded by Jenny. She was a true force of nature and an inspiration to all who knew her and worked with her. I ditto Laura McAlpine's recall of driving around downstate with Jenny, laughing, strategizing and looking at life through a big lens. You were a wonderful partner to her in her decline. Her memory and legacy live on. Best, Karen Culberg and Al Rechtschaffen

Don: on behalf of all of us at Health and Medicine I send you our deepest condolences. Jenny was such a powerful and important force in the development of Health and Medicine—her great intellect, integrity and humor left her imprint on this organization and all of us who worked with her. We are grateful that she was so devoted to health and medicine and we will her terribly. Fondly, Margie, Quentin and all of the board. Margie Schaps

Dear Don, Alzheimer's is such a terrible struggle for the patient and the caregiver. Jenny and you are the best examples of how it can be done. I'm so sorry Jenny's life has ended, but I hope you know what a fine job you did to make a wonderful life for her. Very best, Bettylu K Saltzman

Dear Don, We are so sorry to hear your news. The world is dimmer today as such a bright light has gone out but Jenny's spirit lives on through those who loved her. We have so many happy, lovely memories from the time we spent together and we feel honored to have known such an amazing person. We are currently raising a bottle of goose island IPA to Jenny and reminiscing about the good times, of which there were so many. With all of our love, Sarah, Rahul and Kalyani (and bump) xxx

She was such a fighter and creative force for real change. She was indomitable and moved so many others to take action. She always kept the long term vision and values tied to improving lives in the present. She built the movement by her words, deeds and example. We miss her and hope to continue her legacy.
